Januar 2002.

Despite recent events, which have, in some way, slowed world economic growth, it is by now certain that powder coatings, as emerged from the recent Powder Coating Europe 2002 in Nuremberg, will continue to expand their presence amongst industrial paint products.

It is precisely to follow this trend and to widen its product line that Arsonsisi decided long ago to increase its productive capacity by opening a new plant in Italy.

The new plant, which will operate alongside the Milan site which is already operating at peak capacity, will rise in Pisa, less than 1000 metres from the famous Leaning Tower, proving yet again, if there were any need to do so, the total compatibility between this kind of paint and the environment, both for production and industrial application.

The production facility is about 20,000 mē and once completed will include, a total of seven (7) production lines, with an annual capacity of over 10,000 tons, and will employ a total of 50 workers, in addition to the 55 workers at the Milan facility who produce 6,000 tons a year in a site of only 7,000 mē.

Though only in reduced capacity, the Pisa plant will enter production starting in March 2002, thus bringing Arsonsisi closer to the continually growing Southern Italian market, as well as Mediterranean countries thanks to its vicinity with important mercantile ports such as Livorno, La Spezia and Genoa.

Arsonsisi hopes, through this new operation, to reach a better position in the European coatings market, together with the ever growing contributions from Arsonsisi Istambul and Arsonsisi Finland and of the many European distributors.
